Currently at FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201501150016. I have tried twice now to install the latest updates, but I get the following (perhaps some useful information already scrolled beyond the top of the window):

[I have already replaced the "arts" typo in Update.py by "args"]

Code:

I have tried the Manual Update, but get:

BootFailure.jpg

da12 and da13 are the two 8GB SanDisk Cruzer Fit thumb drives (mirrored) to which I installed FreeNAS from a CD without a problem.

You using the machine in your sig? The ports that the USB sticks are connected to... are they USB3 or USB2?

USB2 -- using a header to 2 x USB ports adapter.

Well crap. Sorry, I have no advice. This sounds totally backwards, but maybe try the USB3 ports? Believe it or not DrKK found the USB3 port worked on a system he built a few weeks ago and had problem on USB2 ports. Granted it wasn't the same issue you are having, but it's worth a shot.

I was able to install the latest version of FreeNAS to those same two USB sticks -- still in the USB 2.0 ports -- using -- for the first time -- the .iso image via IPMI. However, the first attempt -- after a warm boot -- failed, but the second attempt -- after a cold boot -- was successful.

I am wondering now whether the original update from the GUI might have worked if I had done a cold boot instead of a warm boot.
