I guess I never got around to introducing myself so here goes.

I'm a network engineer during the day and hobbyist of anything interesting by night. I built my first FreeNAS system 3 years ago and it is still going strong. It has grown to 33 drives over that time. I started with just a supermicro board a xeon processor 6 3TB drives and a LSI-SAS9220-8i raid card. My system now has 2 raid cards and 2 expanders to offer redundant controller to disk paths for 24 of the drives. The remainder of my drives are USB and make up a massive backup pool just in case I should loose 1 of my 4 RAID volumes. For me this has been a great experience playing with all that a truly amazing SAN platform has to offer.

For everyone at the FreeNAS team. Keep up the great work! Cheers!
