Larger Snapshot Library on Backup Unit

We are using replication to backup our production unit to a backup system. Is there a way we can configure it so that the backup unit has longer, but not unlimited snapshot retention than the production unit? (We don't want to tell the replication task to just not ever delete things and then be left manually doing cleanup every once in a while.)

Example:
Production Unit - 30 Days Retention, replicates to Backup Unit which holds all the snapshots for 90 days.

Don't set the replication job to purge stale snapshots and instead look up the scripts that @fracai did and use those to purge as you see fit.
