Evening.... being new to FreeNas, did a 6x4tb RAIDZ2. Keeping it simple, this is just for being a backup system for other computers. So, (hope I'm using the proper terms), when the pool was created I created 2 shares, 1 for Timemachine (applecreate) and 1 for Windows (shoebox) computers. And, a 3rd was created for Jails, I'm not going to do Jails. They were all created with the same space. Questions:
1) Does FreeNas automatically reallocate this space as my other shares fill up?
2) If not, how do I reallocate myself?

I don't understand what you mean by "reallocate"? The jails dataset is currently taking up 175.8KiB and that is all it will ever take up unless you put something in it.

see above.

If you are not going to do jails, why not just delete it?

What I mean, given the above, is each dataset was automatically allocated 1/3rd of the available space (9.2TB) will the system move those allocations around as things fill up or do I need to do it myself? The shoebox share/dataset is the one that will get occupied fastest as it is for the HTPC.

That is not correct. The way freeNAS displays "available space" is it takes the available space for the whole vdev and displays it next to each dataset. This is done by default unless you specify a "quota" for a specific dates which would then limit that particular dataset to whatever you set. If you do set a quota for a dataset, then that figure will displayed next to the dataset.

I'm assuming you don't have any quotas setup for any of your datasets so the system is showing that each dataset has full access to all the remaining space on your system (9.2TiB).
NOTE: 9.2TiB and 9.2TB are NOT equal (use google to see why).

nojohnny101, thanks for the explanation, that makes it much clearer. I hadn't looked up the difference, but I will. Thanks for pointing it out.
