I wasn't sure where to post, so I hope this is the place.

I noticed that Firefly does no longer work with Itunes 10 and up, and is no longer in development. Is there another way to setup an Itunes server on 8.2.0 of FreeNAS or relocate your Itunes media folder to a shared directory on FreeNas? I tried the later, and I can't seem to map Itunes to a share, only local folders.

I was going open a new thread but I can probably answer your question then ask mined at the same time.

So I have confirmation of success with using firefly on freeNAS 8.3.2 alpha 12978 and iTunes 11.0.12 which I believe is the newest version of iTunes.
I can play .mp3 and .aiff files through my firefly DAAP share also on my phone through android but no luck on .flac which isn't supported in iTunes unless modified.

My question if someone could help or direct me in direction on fixing my problem stated below.

I can see the metadata and cover art that is include in the .aiff and .mp3 when using CIFS share and adding it to iTunes as a folder to watch but when I use firefly DAAP share, I only get the music. There is no info, no cover art or anything, and also I can't search within a .aiff file meaning I can't change where I want the song to start but I can do that in a .mp3. My guess that problem is intrinsic to the firefly and I'm hoping that I can configure to work at least with the metadata. Does freeNAS support firefly and update it?
