I started the installation process with 2 120gb hard drives, I re-wiped them so there wasn't a half installed version of freeNas on it.

Its a newbie question, any suggestions?

two things

1. you should provide details of you hardware as per forum rules.

2. have you tried installing to a single usb flash drive ?

it's been years since i did an fresh install - but i believe there are 2 ways to install.
uefi - i think and another - have you tried both ?

it could also be something in your bios

also i would try and download the freenas image again and make sure it is burned correctly - some software doesn't burn correctly

I wasn't able to boot uefi successfully, probably user error. The Legacy boot seemed to work till I got the error. I tried burning it again on a 8gb flash. I have two 64gb flash drives but they seem like they aren't readable. Maybe I should pick up a few different flash drives?

I can look at the bios, any links on hand of what the bios settings should be?

i don't know anything specific to look for in the bios - just another place for you to look.

I figured it out! I picked up some new flash drives. That must of been the issue.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.
