iSCSI Initiator Definition

When you define an iSCSI initiator, is the Initiators field looking for IQNs or IPs?

I looked there. It's not clear to me whether that means unqualified hostnames, FQDNs, IQNs, or IPs.

IQNs doesn't seem likely, but I can't find any other way to zone based on IQNs. Is there not a way to do that?

Also, if it isn't IQNs, why does it ask for both hostname and network?

I never did. It would be really nice to know though.

In reviewing this, my guess is that its IQNs and there is already a place for "Allowed hosts" and that is for IP addresses. I do agree that there is a great deal of ambiguity in the documentation. All input fields should be described with details about acceptable data types and any delimiting characters.
