Since when did iSCSI/fibre channel extents show up under view disks in the GUI!?!one?1!

I understand why they're there, but it doesn't feel right. I'd file a bug report for it.

Might it have anything to do with the zvol tunable?

Or with this:
create a pool using partitions, then import it in the GUI. I'm hesitant to give more detail, because that might imply I think this a good idea.

Might as well wait for native encryption...
Why? I really am considering doing that (that = geli on top of zfs)

Because managing that is a pain and you have all the problems inherent to virtual block devices in terms of performance.

  • Veracrypt/truecrypt container file?
  • Bitlocker on iSCSI?
Or worse?
