Hi

My domestic FreeNAS 11.2-U4 is running on Gigabyte Z370M Gaming and I am using an SSD with 250 GB. I want to clone it to a SSD M.2 that has 240 GB. I've tried Linux GPARTED but it seems not to recognize ZFS file system. I guess I should go to FreeNAS terminal console and type a command line to get it done but considering I have no experience with BSD system I am fearing to make something wrong. Can you help me to resize down the current ZFS partition or should I reinstall everything?

Thanks

You cannot shrink a ZFS pool that consists of a single vdev. You can however just make a new pool on the new disk and replicate everything over.

Ok, thanks. Is there and easy way to accomplish this task of replicate everything over? Is there a tool for this? Installing a new pool you meant to install FreeNAS to another spare disc, in case a SSD M.2 disc and then copy everything from the original disc? It might be cumbersome a bit.

Thanks
