I know that for the longest time, it was recommended against, and then they removed the option from the UI. But, with 11.2 I noticed that my encrypted pool is now in the option menu and the warning in the docs is missing. Additionally, I found this Feature Request "Can System Dataset live on an Encrypted Pool?" (https://redmine.ixsystems.com/issues/29269) and the linked bug "Remove note from Guide and tooltip that incorrectly stated encrypted pools could not be used for the system dataset" (https://redmine.ixsystems.com/issues/29106)
Is it safe to assume that it is now okay to put system datasets on encrypted pools? I'm pretty sure that's what those two Redmine entries imply, but I wish there was something out there that explicitly said it was okay instead of implicitly.
