Is my disk near to die?

Hello, I am getting this error from my TrueNAS

ada1: CAM status: Uncorrectable parity/CRC error
ada1: Retrying command, 3 more tries remain
ada1: WRITE_FPDMA_QUEUED. ACB: 61 08 F8 99 0E 40 FD 00 00 00 00 00 TRUENAS

However, I do not find something suspicious in smartctl -x /dev/ada1, which can be seen in attached file.

You are correct, your hard drive looks fine. I'd recommend replacing the SATA cable at this point as it is the most likely suspect at this time.

How often do you have this error message?

Thank you very much for your response. I will replace SATA cable in order to solve the issue.

I am having this message not long ago and not many times each time it happens...

If the problem returns after replacing the Sata cable, the next thing to try is to power down and swap the hard drive ends for ada1 and ada2 (use the drive serial numbers to identify the physical drive) and then see if the problem moves to ada2 or stays with ada1. Post your results. If the problem moves to ada2 then it could be the Sata cable but since you have replaced it, odds are the hard drive controller is suspect. Be sure to also post your system specs as well. I hope the cable replacement fixes it. Good luck.

After SATA cable replacement, the problem has not returned again so I have not needed to swap the drives. Hope the issue will be already fixed.
