I am receiving the error message “invalid wct number 255” after installing version 9.1.1. My configuration is as follows:
-Motherboard is an Intel DH57DD with the Intel H57 Chipset
-Memory is Corsair XMP DDR3-1333 4GB x 2 for 8GB total
-CPU is Intel Core 13-540 @ 3.06 GHZ
-Hard drive is a WD 1TB SATA 6GB/s 64MB Cache
-Freenas is running from a USB 2.0 flash drive
-Purpose is a simple home network storage device
Installation was done via the Quick Start guide in the documentation. The install is configured per the CIFS Anonymous Access section. ACL in Permissions is set to Windows and the file system is UFS. I am trying to access the drive from Windows 7 Pro machine. The Freenas machine is recognized by the windows machine , but when you try to access the hard drive you get this error on the windows machine:
Windows cannot access \\freenas. Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network. To try to identify and resolve the network problems, click diagnose.
I have tried several reinstalls and have tweaked on some of the settings, with no success. I have explored the threads on this site but have found nothing that is helpful.
I have a limited amount of experience with Feenas. I volunteer as the network admin at a small parochial school were we have two computers running Freenas. I have never has any problems at the school. I am perplexed by this one. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
