Installing Scale from USB

I don’t know if I’m having a ‘senior moment’ or there’s something wrong with my setup. I have a freenas mini (2015) with Truenas Core 12 on it - updated via the web interface from freenas 11.3 - and I have burned Truenas Scale to a USB stick. When I reboot the machine I cannot find the USB / installer iso, even tho I have rebooted many times and put the stick into each usb slot - two at the back, two at the front. I’ve looked at the boot options in the bios and it cannot see the stick. It’s so long since I did an install this way, I don’t know if I’m missing something obvious or there’s something wrong. Any ideas?

UPDATE: discovered only one usb slot was working out of the four. No idea why. Used a usb hub to load the usb keyboard and usb iso in the one functioning port. Voilà! Install done and backed up data copied back to the new pool. I wanted to redo the pool and start from scratch for a clean beginning.
