I have this crashplan jail on my latest updated freenas setup. I use it for inbound backups. Since a couple of days ago, I have been messing around trying to fix the latest crashplan update. In order to do so, I must install bash, but when I issue the pkg install bash command, I get lots and lots of "No address record" errors and the download (around 5 or 7 mb) never finish. I'm starting to suspect network card issues. Other than that, the rest of my shares with the machine work perfectly (y also use this box to store data).

I don't know where to start looking to diagnose this issues. If you need any info in order to do so, just tell me.

Thanks!

Paste the output of ifconfig from the main system. Also, is this jail using a static or a DHCP address? Does its contents of /etc/resolv.conf match that of the FreeNAS system? Does adding nameserver 8.8.8.8 as the first nameserver line in the /etc/resolv.conf of this jail fix it?

Seems like I had a dns server in resolv.conf that didnt exist anymore.

Anyway, I deleted that one and added 8.8.8.8

I'll see how it goes

As for the network config, I have static IP.
