Installing Freenas with HP MSA20 Disc Array

Has anyone tried to install Freenas on an HP MSA20 Disc Array.
I am trying to setup home lab to practice VMware on and would like to utilize HP MSA20 Disc Array with Freenas for storage.

I have Freenas booting from a usb stick on a PC where I have connected the HP MSA20 via SCSI cable.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that hardware is nothing more than a bunch of SCSI devices. It's support will be based on whether the controller you are using in the computer is compatible with FreeNAS/FreeBSD.
