Installation Guides?

Greetings all,

I've read "ZFS Storage Design and Other FreeNAS Information" written by Cyberjock and tried to retain what I can. I'd like to order a UPS (was thinking a APC - Back-UPS 900VA) before I'm completely up and running. I'd like to install 9.10 stable with plex and transmission. Anyway, I tried reading a few installation guides and I'm not really sure which one to use. Any recommendations on great guides that don't skim over important information and are not 1000 pages long :)? I've used linux before (long time ago) but not FreeBSD.

Specs of interest:
8 core intel 2.4ghz with AES-NI
16gb DDR3 ECC
gigabit ethernet
4x3TB WD Red

These two goals are inherently incompatible. Ok, they aren't really; a guide that covered everything that might be important would be far more than 1000 pages long. But the manual is good, and the guide in my sig is also good.
