SOLVED Installation error: your CPU does not implement AMD64 architecture

(FreeNAS newbie, sorry...)

I just downloaded FreeNAS 11 from the download page (link https://download.freenas.org/11/latest/x64/FreeNAS-11.1-U1.iso)

I am running on an iMac (i7, so 64 bit), with Oracle Virtual Box (5.2.6).

I have created and VM and boot from the downloaded ISO file, I get the FreeNAS Installer grub menu, but I get :

'error: your CPU does not implement AMD64 architecture'

Is it the right ISO file? Is there a setting I need to change for the VM?

Was the VirtualBox guest created as 64-bit?

Ah ha! Thank you.

So for others, in the Virtual Box settings, General, Basic, Version - make sure it is Other/Unknown 64 bit
