SOLVED Install SAS drive into Computer Desktop with LSI Mega Raid Card

Hello,

I will explain my problem.

Actually I have a computer with the following components:
Intel Xeon x3450
16 GB de RAM
SSD 250 GB
Carte Raid LSI Megaraid SAS Contrôleur 8708EM2 8 ports PCI-E LSliBBU006
8 x 8 TB sas

My problem is : when i plug sas disk on my LSI MegaRaid card, he didn't recognize. The hard disk don't start (no vibration or anything) do you have some idea ?

PS : All drive has been test in my compagny on servers (HPE Proliant DL380) and the LSI Mega Raid Card recognize SATA Drive directly without any actions.

Is this for a FreeNAS/TrueNAS system?

We do not suggest using desktop systems for NAS hosts, and you should not use a RAID card. Please see the following article:

Yes, I want install TrueNas Core.

Do you know any possibility to connect SAS drive in my Computer Desktop ? All search found in this subject say buy RaidCard to connect SAS disk :)

I'm pretty sure that no searches say that. We are generally very good at making sure people do NOT do that.

Please start out by reading the following article,

Hello,

I found a solution with discution in French, but for English people, the solution is delete with adhesive tape the connector 3,5 V on alimentation SATA cable.

The problem is when the disk detect 3,5V in alimentation, he understand don't start...
