I am connected to a remote server, which works fine except when I am trying to play large files in 4K resolution through the Plex app. My connection speed is usually over 60 Mbps.
I have a 500 Mbps optical internet connection, and I connect to the Plex server via Fire Stick 4K over Wi-Fi.
From my observations, the problem lies in the instability of the connection speed to the Plex server. It periodically drops from 90Mbps to 30Mbps, which causes buffering, then drops back to 90Mbps and then drops again, and so on. I did a speed test on the Fire Stick 4K, and was getting speeds over 250Mbps at any given time, so the problem is not with the device. It seems that the Plex app on the Fire Stick is unstable in responding to Wi-Fi speed changes.
