I've installed a Truenas Core implementation as a file server solution for a local non-profit. It is working great and they are extremely happy with the performance and ease of use but we are looking add some functionality that is above my level of understanding.
We currently have Office 365 Non-Profit accounts that manage our Email, and cloud storage. Right now the users are duplicated on the server with their own folders that the OneDrive is configured as the local storage. It seems that it would be possible to have the Office 365 Active Directory could be used to create the users in Truenas but I haven't found that solution yet. Also I was able to configure the Cloud Credential for my support user I created on their domain as the root user but I don't see where that data is being saved on the NAS.
Lastly I overbuilt their NAS so that it could run VM's for remote workers and we would be willing to pay if we can get that configured.
