IBM M1015 Flash LSI IT Hard Drive Spindown

Hi all,

I have an always on FreeNAS build which works great. I have gone through the process of flashing 2 IBM 1015 cards to LSI IT mode and would like to enable hard drive spin down for the drives on these cards. I Know this doesn't work out of the box but has anyone or does anyone know of how to achieve this?

On the lime-tech forums where the flashing process first was described the post mentions adding hdparm -S242 /dev/sdX to the boot script to enable it but am unsure if this is FreeNAS specific or where to go about creating the boot Script.

I used this for a while before I added an iscsi LUN from my filer to my ESXi box (so the disks never have a chance to sleep).
