Hello, new member here. Today i think my raid is starting to fail throughput over the network has dropped from about 60MB/s to <1MB/s.

My raid is a 4 disk zfs raid. today drive 3 in the array disconnected twice, so i am guessing that is the failing drive. i have booted the raid with drive 3 removed in a degraded state and received even less performance about 500kb/s over network.

is there anyway i can test the read/write speeds of each drive individually in the pool to confirm that disk 3 (ada2p2) also when I went to read my pool status it has looked clean all day just now generated 2 checksum errors.

I just don't want to go buy a new drive and resilver the drive to find out thats not the failing drive.

Did you check the SMART data for the drive?
If not, you should run
smartcl -a /dev/ada2
to read out the SMART data. If you need help deciphering the output, please paste it here.
You should also run the long self test:
smartctl -t long /dev/ada2
It will tell you how long you need to wait for the test to finish. Then you use smartcl -a again to check the result of the test.
