i am receiving error messages as follows. I am currently using this nas box on a wireless network. Do you think it would help to plug it in directly to my switch? it's just i don't have that much room in my closet for another machine. here's the errors. Also my Jails are not connecting properly. It does not seem to connect or use my Stranded Jails. I can follow instructions but some of them are way over my head and don't understand. is there a step by step?
thanks in advance vince

Don't worry about it. I get them errors on my FreeNAS box. The default gateway and DNS is set correctly. It shouldn't have any impact on how FreeNAS works.

You're going to have to give much more information then:
- What version of FreeNAS are you running?
- 32 or 64bit?
- Amount of RAM?
- Have you configured your Jails? (See: http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/Jails_Configuration)
- What do the logs say when you try to start your plugins/jails?

Are you using ZFS or UFS? ZFS requires a minimum of 8 GB of RAM.

If you're running ZFS, there's a good chance you're out of memory. If that's the case, you need to upgrade to 8GB minimum.

I find if you make changes to the jails it can cause problems with the plugin tree.. A restart usually fixes this.. I tend to do all my fixes etc at one time and do a clean reboot..

sorry don't know. I am mostly using this for a ftp backup solution's

The fact that you don't know if you are using UFS or ZFS is a big red flag that you should stop and get a professional to help you. That's an extremely basic question for this type of setup. That's like me asking what kind of car you drive and you answering with 'I don't know". You are in way over your head and you really should stop now.
