I'm wondering if there is a scaled down method I can have a small debian virtual machine who's only purpose is to run a browser (in my case Palemoon so a docker image isn't going to cut it since it's not firefox or chrome). Something like RancherOS used to be I suppose.

Interesting blog here... https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=2803
Are you doing this for security?

While security is an issue I've found that Palemoon (and firefox) when you install alot of extensions which I do can take over the whole machine till it gets really slow..it has a few other quirks. I'd prefer to keep it isolated so it can be rebooted without interrupting my actual internet session. I also have some use for a minimal size debian install. Thanks for the info. Not sure how I'd get it converted. I may just install a debian distro with a light window manager like lxde.
