Today one of my WD Red drives crapped out and looking online, the 5TB drives are no longer readily available. I have 4 5TB drives in a RAID-Z. I'm looking ahead and worried that 5TB RED drives will be hard to find in the future. any way to upgrade the pool size if I start popping in 6 TB or greater drives? Thanks.

Once you replace all the 5s the pool will grow. And if it doesn't, you can force it.

Doesn't seem like a good deal to me though. If you really can't get 5s, might as well replace with a 6.

The Red 5 TB disks are new enough that you should be able to RMA the drive, even advance RMA with a small fee. But yes, if you replace them all with 6 TB (or 8 TB, or whatever) disks, the pool will grow automatically, as described in the manual.
