How to set PUID and PGID for custom apps

I'm setting up some apps using the custom app button in Truenas Scale 23.10.1.2, but I do not see anyway to set a PGID or PUID so the app will always run as a root user.

Is there a way to set this that I am just missing?

You set them in the "Container Environment Variables" section of the app's edit sheet. For example "Environment Variable Name" is PUID and "Environment Variable Value" is 3001 (or whatever the ID is)...

That only works if the particular container supports reading those ENV variables it seems
