Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has a good "how to" video that describes exactly how to replicate a BSD/OpenZFS based system zroot .. directly to freenas .. something that includes all the required set up on the freenas side (ie users/accounts) and exactly what is required on the bsd side (ie user permissions/groups and zfs properties). Ideally this would include sshkeys and some basic cron tabs..
some general tips would be awesome to .. for example, I've configured AD.. and oddly it seems to work .. but should I use AD or a UNIX group/user? if AD what are the basic permissions you need?
The entire process seems quite difficult .. and the closest Ive been able to get sofar simply gives me a broken pipe error when trying to do the zfs send | receive ... the worst part is there does not seem to be any logging, so it makes trying to track down what's wrong very difficult..
