How to manually restart Directory Services?

Hello

I need to "emulate" Directory / Active Directory / "Enable" checkbox and "Save" button action via the command line, other words - how to restart Directory Services daemon via the CLI?

"smbcontrol all reload-config" ?

/etc/directoryservice/ActiveDirectory/ctl restart. That's not guaranteed to work in all future versions of the product, but will work in 11.1 and 11.2 (don't know about U-releases), and gives useful output.

Eventually we want to move away from this and put it into the middleware. The command for middleware is midclt call service.restart activedirectory
