We have a ticketing system that creates tickets from the emails that it receives. TrueNAS is sending alerts notifying us that "* Space usage for pool "pool" is 81%. Optimal pool performance requires used space remain below 80%." which is great. The system creates a ticket and we are able to resolve the issue. The problem is that once the space is brought back down under the 80% threshold a new ticket is created when the TrueNAS box sends the following alert:
"The following alert has been cleared:
* Space usage for pool "pool" is 81%. Optimal pool performance requires used space remain below 80%."
This second alert notifying us that the issue has been resolved creates another ticket that we must mark as closed. That in itself is a waste of time but the real issue is that the end-user gets another email stating that we are aware of the issue and working on it. This is causing confusion and unnecessary work.
Is there a way to disable the second alert that notifies us that it is back below 80%?
FYI, for a little more clarification. We are aware that the pool should be kept well below 80%, which it is 95% of the time. The TrueNAS houses the backup images and once a week the backup software creates a full image which is rather large. After that image is created it deletes the old full image and that brings it back into a normal range. These two alerts are created within minutes of each other...
