How to "deactivate the BIOS in the Controller Firmware" on LSI 9405W-16e?

Hi all! There is an issue with TrueNAS booting with JBODs powered on. I found that I need to disable/erase BIOS on my HBA (Broadcom/LSI 9405W-16e), but how?
Both ./storcli64 /c0 set bios state=off and ./storcli64 /c0 erase bootservices didn't help.
And I don't see anything similar in the storcli help that could do what I need. Actually, these two above-mentioned commands are in the help, but they do not work...

wouldn't it be sas3flash for that card, since it's a HBA?

I'm afraid that only StorCLI is currently available as management tool for these HBAs...
And because of the sanctions, Broadcom refuses to communicate with me...
