Hi, I am quite new to networking and i am wondering if it is possible to connect from outside of the home LAN to FreeNas dashboard (from which i could turn off my machine for example).
I managed WOL working on FreeNas either from Local LAN or from WAN using Asus router dashboard, I also managed portforwarding etc so my Mediabrowser plugin is now accessible form LAN and WAN, but i would also like to turn off FreeNas server when not in use. I tried some steps but no luck. I am connected to internet over PPPOE and i have public IP address. Of course FreeNas has static IP too.
Any idea how to manage turning off remotely?
Thanks
Martin
