Hi,

FreeNAS 9.10.2 reported problems with boot media, 16 Gb USB stick. I Attached a 32 GB USB stick, and configured mirroring of the boot drive.
That went well, so I ordered another 32 GB USB stick, removed the 16 GB stick (the one with errors), and inserted the new 32 GB stick, and attached it.
FreeNAS reports a critical error, boot volume state is degraded, and that it is in the process of resilvering.
And it has been resilvering more than 12 hours - I think that is a long time! Is this normal?
I did not format the new stick before I installed it, and I believe it had some variant of Microsoft formatting - is that a problem?
Regards.

That is a long time and No it's not normal.

FreeNAS will format the flash drive, so under normal circumstances this
should not matter.

At this point, I would recommend you save a copy of the configuration file
to another computer, and reinstall the same version of FreeNAS you are
currently using. Follow the user documentation and set up the two 32GB
flash drives as a mirror and when the installation is finished, use the GUI
to import your saved configuration file.

Hi Dave,

Removed mirror usb.
Installed from disk I had in store, Freenas 9.1.
Attempted to import configuration file, but was informed that the os was to old.
Updated Freenas.
Imported configuration file.
Freenas rebooted, and all files were available.

Thank you Dave, piece of cake!
Have a nice day.

Case closed!
