Hi,

I tried looking everywhere and can't find the answer to this question.

Let's say I am building a new NAS, and want to go with latest and greatest hardware. In order to see what hardware is supported I would look at freebsd compatibility list. ex. https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=mps&sektion=4&manpath=freebsd-release-ports

But how do I find the driver version?
For example freenas requires the HBA driver to match the firmware version on the card. How do I find the latest driver that is supported by freenas?

FreeNAS will alert you whenever the driver needs to be updated or whenever there is a firmware mismatch. The current firmware versions are listed in file:///home/dru/freenas9.10/_build/freenas.html#caveats.

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Couple of things:
  • I am having the issue with the "link" you provided above.
  • When building a new system can I simply rely on "supported" list of freebsd hardware? Then check the url you will provide?
