I have been working on my PC and restarted the truenas server (I do that sometimes) and noticed that the internet speed increased immediately. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I decided to check out what my truenas does.

First of all, I just want to mention that I'm using it mainly for storage (and not for immediate storage usage) + Plex media server (locally).

In a state where it "does nothing" -
cpu bumps between 0% to 2%. Since I'm looking at it on a dashboard the might be using this cpu - seems fair.
RAM as always gets stuffed if I don't restart my computer. I have 16 ram hich is more than enough in my opinion.
The network panel doesn't say much to me.
Is the a way to diagnose the current immediate usage of my network? Or even better - internet band?

Thanks.

Reporting, then select Network...

The reporting page will show network usage, but it doesn't have a way of distinguishing what's staying on the LAN from what's going over the WAN--for that, you'd need to use your router, and hope it has the kind of detail to tell you. My pfSense router can do this; I think a Unifi Dream Machine can do it, but I don't think your average consumer-level router can.
