How bad can it get before zfs gives up?

This isn't a freenas or truenas machine. It's a fbsd 9.something machine running on a 3ware POS.v2 in JBOD mode. I just wanted to share this somewhere. The disk controller is super jank and frequently wedges up, requiring a power cycle to get it working again.

Amazingly, zfs just keeps truckin along. This array is still read/writable and it is why I trust zfs with my data.

Code:
# zpool status
  pool: zroot
state: UNAVAIL
status: One or more devices is currently being resilvered. The pool will
continue to function, possibly in a degraded state.
action: Wait for the resilver to complete.
