Hi, I just had a drive fault and my hot spare jumped in nicely to replace it. Now it won't leave... isn't it supposed to return to being a spare automatically? What can I do to convince it to become a spare again?

Thanks.

I thought I would try to fix this myself. I took the spare drive off-line first then I ran "zpool detach myPoolName mySpareDeviceID" and the drive went back into spare status... just like that. I guess it's semi-automatic. Anyway, all is good now.
