Hi all,

I am a long time user of freenas. I've started around 2007 using FreeNAS. As I worked for Sun Microsystems, I was a clear fan of ZFS. In the old time I was the moderator of the german part of the FreeNAS forum and had a blog (which is now abandoned). And then IX cam and took over. I never stopped using FreeNAS. But as we've built our house and our son came into our life, there was not that much time.
Mainly I am using FreeNAS for storing private data (photos, videos from our trips) but also as a VMware-Datastore and Backup Device (Mac, Linux, FreeBSD)

Welcome to the forums. FreeNAS has changed a bit since you were moderating the German forum. Hopefully you will like the new UI and enhancements since the FreeNAS .7 days.
