OK so first of all i am this is my system:
island.local
OS Version: FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE-p1
Platform: AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 2800+
System Time: Mon Mar 19 17:45:36 EDT 2012
Uptime: 5:45PM up 3:11, 0 users
Load Average: 0.05, 0.01, 0.00
FreeNAS Build: FreeNAS-8.0-RELEASE-i386

basically i have messed something up with my permissions.
I want to fix all permissions so i can delete some files and make space for some more backups etc.

I have folders that i cannot delete and folders that i can not add to.
from what i understand the issue is permissions and changing my user to the user/wheel / user/www group as when i delete from my windows 7 laptop it said these people were in charge :) lol altering this does not seem to work

Some of the information may have been copied by a now de-funct mac, i am using a new/different MacPro to currently copy and edit the information..
I also have a few PC's running Windows 7
From my understanding it is correct to have a CIFS Samba share as all computers can access it..right?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) I am quite comfortable with command line unix/linux commands, but i have no clue as how to use the shell on the FreeNAS box itself
Thank You in advance
