real rookie here just install FreeNas to a 8 gig USB. The USB flash Boots on my laptop but does not give me IP to access. I took the USB to a deskstop that i want as the sever.
AMD athlon XP 3000
Realtech RTL8139/810x
vivavt8237 raid controller
Sata 3.0
2 SATA 2 terra byte HD
1 SATA 160 MB
1 IDE 160 MB
1 MB ram
1 RW dvd
1 R dvd
1 3.5 floppy
this computer starts the boot process
not UFS
not UFS
freeBSD/x86 boot
Default 0: fd(0,a0/boot/kernel/kernel
boot:
not ufs
no/boot/kerenel/kernel
freeBSD/x86 boot default:0:fd90,a0/boot/kernel/kernel
boot:_
it just sits at this line and does nothing. this is my first attempt to set up a server please help this rookie....
