I was trying to organize my files by making new datasets. I already had a folder named HTPC and made a Dataste named HTPC also. Now the HTPC fold is empty. How do I go back?

Do you already copy files to the dataset?

If yes, create another one, move your stuff to that, delete the first dataset and your original folder name HTPC will be there.

No that is my problem. I did not think at all when making the new dataset and naming it.

Ok, well just delete the dataset. Its just masking the directory, the folder/files should still be there.

Thanks a lot! I was contemplating doing that but didn't know exactly what happened.

It's normal (if rather bemusing first time you see it) Unix mountpoint behaviour. You mount a volume onto a folder, and then the folder's content is hidden until you unmount the volume again.
