Is that Vancouver Island? If so, do you have a decent selection of ISP's there? Entertaining the thought of spend some time there while working remotely, so good internet is important.

Yes, it is Vancouver Island. There are basically two main providers here on the Island. Telus for DSL and Shaw for Cable. From that you have third party providers which uses them as their last miles provider. As for third party providers, it would all depend on where you will be. They don't service everywhere. You can look at VMedia, Teksavvy, Juce, Primus, haybabbl, getus, ... etc. Customer service with third party is iffy as they ultimately will need to contact Telus/Shaw. If you need good customer service, go directly with Telus or Shaw. Hope this helps.
