We had a cooling problem in our server room last night and one of the servers (unfortunately storage server suffered )

the error:
this is a freenas data disk and cannot boot system

I tried to play with bios settings but no luck, both OS drives (Intel raid mirror) are recognized in the Intel raid option (shows upon boot),
i tried to upgrade\reinstall freenas (via iso disk), it recognized the old installed freenas (11.2-7 i think) and upgraded successfully to 11.3-u4.1

but after reboot i still have the same prompt of "this is a freenas data disk and cannot boot system"
any idea?

Sounds like the BIOS boot settings are not correct, or the "Intel raid mirror" is interfering with the boot process somehow. I have had a few experiences of needed to adjust AMI BIOS settings including removing any reference to non-bootable drives from the boot-order list to limit the potential for it to attempt to use them...
Good luck with working through this.

Update:
i was able to install the the os and recover one pool (can recover with import or with load config (i had a copy for this scenario )

But the second pool (the important one) is dead (it was based on 8 drives on raidz3 ),
it is shown as unknown
is it possible somehow to rebuild it (without formatting the drives) and recover the data ? it hosted some lxc containers,
