Hi, all thanks for looking I guessing I have a option de-selected or selected that I shouldn't but for some reason after the daylight saving adjustment here in the UK the Freenas clock correctly has been adjusted but has not then updated the BIOS time value. Is this something I have set incorrectly or can adjust via command etc? This has a knock on effect in that I have the machine due to power on at certain time of day and this is now an hour out.

I appreciate I can boot the server into BIOS mode but would be good to be able to adjust this automatically using the NTP Servers.

Many thanks again for looking have a great day!

The OS should keep the hardware clock (the BIOS clock) in sync. However, the hardware clock doesn't need to know about DST -- just the OS needs that.

Most Unix users will set their hardware clock to Universal Time (formerly called Greenwich Mean time) for which DST is not used.
