Hi there, I was being trouble by this problem: i have a FreeNAS runs on my DIY NAS, and a OpenWRT inside the Bhyve. Everything works fine except the clock.
In the OpenWRT, its one mins just like about 40-50 secs. if NTP not sync for 1 day, it will be about 30 mins overhead!

The NTP server is working, for workaround I can only set a cron jobs with ntpdate to set the time every 10 mins.

Every hypervisor suffers from some degree of clock skew due to the difficulty of timekeeping in a virtual environment. Being off by 30 minutes after a day though is some pretty bad clock drift; bhyve just might be worse than other hypervisors in that regard.

In-guest time sync via external NTP is mandatory for applications that are sensitive to it.
