I am a 63 year old retired engineer who has been involved with various aspects of computers for the last 48 years.
The first computer I helped build was an ICL 1904 mainframe, my part in the build was to install the 2048 valves that made up the (then) massive 1KB of memory.
Things have moved on a bit since then and I endevour to keep up to date with current technologies.
