Greetings from a newbie

Hello everyone!

I've been lurking on here for some time and figured it's time to say hello!

I look forward to learning new skills as I am expanding my knowledge to improve myself. My network skills are basic at best and I want to change that.

I am thinking what I learn hear can translate into better opportunities in the I.T. field.

I am curious to see what everyone uses their NAS for and their setups.

I will update with my system configuration once I re-arrange some cabling and get a picture of it. I primarily want to use it as a backup system for my home PC and move all of my stuff from Google and Dropbox. I am also really interested in setting up NextCloud and ZoneMinder (I don't have cameras yet).

I am excited that you are jumping into the world of TrueNAS! There are tons of videos to help speed up your learning process.

Currently, I am running a TrueNAS Mini with TrueNAS CORE 12.0-U8 as a backup system mostly as well as a bit of self-hosting for some game servers.
