Getting hung at console screen while attempting installation

So, i assembled my first NAS box last night and I am attempting to install FreeNAS 9.10. I booted from the installation USB and it takes me all the way to the console screen where I can choose to install as well as 3 other options. I cannot do anything beyond this point though. no matter which button I press the computer is unresponsive. I have tried multiple USB drives, and tried installing off of a cd. I even went into the BIOS to enable all possible USB compalitabilies to include legacy. My hardware is

ASRock Z97 Extreme6
G3258 Pentium
16Gb DDR3 Ram
750w Power supply

This thread can be closed. Turns out the keyboard i was using doesnt play nice with FreeNAS... weird. All is well now.
