General Question

Currently i have a Small Form Factor PC that only Supports 2 Sata Hard Drives.
The NAS OS is installed onto a 1GB usb stick.

I have aquired a tower PC that can hold 5 HDD driver and i was wondering if it possibble to just move the Disks to the new PC and plug the USB(Free Nas OS)into the new PC and keep all the configrtuion on my current disk and also add disk.

if i have waffled on aibit then sorry, but any input would be appreciated.

Yes, this is one of the features of FreeNAS, it is very portable and when you have a hardware failure you can move your drives into another machine and boot from your USB stick. If it doesn't boot then make sure the USB ports are the primary boot device. If the pools (your hard drives) are not available then shut it down and move the SATA cables to different MB connections and try again. If that all fails them post the problem here and we can troubleshoot but it should work fine.

EDIT: To let you know, FreeNAS 8 minimum requirements has recently changed. You now need a 2GB USB drive.
