FTP download limit

If I wanted to limit this to a 10/100 link speed would it be 10240 or 102400 or something completely different?
Basically, I have a 1gig nic card but want to limit it to a 10/100 link card speed due to some ftp issues I have been having.

10/100 ethernet is 100 Mbps. You need KB/s (note "B" vs "b"). Put 12000 in that box, roughly.
