Freezing when booting

I am writing the installation image to usb from Linux. I have a few different sizes makes and models. They all work on test systems at work, but I can’t get them to work on my system at home. When I select install, it starts booting and when it lists masks, it just freezes. On other systems it skims right past this and starts to boot the OS.

Dang it. I installed windows on one of the disks, used the hp windows tool to update the bios and it boots now.

Bios went from 2012 to 2015.
